1. What payment methods do you accept?

We accept the following modes of payment from Philippine customers: BPI deposit, BDO deposit, Gcash, LBC and Paypal.  We accept Paypal from international customers.

As we strive to keep our prices low, they do not take into account Gcash cashout fees and Paypal transaction fees. Customers then shoulder these fees, which are automatically added to the total. The Gcash cashout fee is equivalent to 2% of total due. The Paypal transaction fee is equivalent to 4.4% of total due plus P15 or US $0.30.

Payment is due three days after order submission.

Customers who pay through bank deposit must send us a photo of their deposit slip through a Facebook message at http://www.facebook.com/bijouxdelou or an email at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

 

 

2. What shipping methods or courier services do you use?

We send orders throughout the Philippines via Xend Express and LBC, both are third-party couriers that we pay to deliver our packages. For International clients, we ship via SwedenPost's premium registered airmail.

If via Xend Express, shipping and packaging starts at P80 within Metro Manila (1-2 business days) and P120 to areas outside of Metro Manila (3-6 business days).

If via LBC, shipping and packaging starts at P165 within Metro Manila, P185 within Luzon, P195 within Visayas and Mindanao. LBC ships in 1-2 business days.

For international clients, we ship via SingPost's premium registered airmail. A 100 gram package and below will cost between P250-P300 to ship (depending on the destination) and will take 7-10 business days to deliver.

Shipping cost includes the cost of a protective box to better ensure that the items ordered reach our clients in good condition. We do our best to ensure that the items are in good condition when we prepare them for shipment.

We typically ship orders 1-2 days after we receive payment. Bad weather may delay packages. No deliveries on Sundays and holidays. International packages take anywhere from 2-4 weeks to reach their destination.

We primarily inform customers of their tracking number through email.

 

3. What is your return and exchange policy?

We only grant an exchange for items that are:

1. packed in sturdy boxes which are bought by clients as part of the shipping and packaging fee.

2. received damaged and when the nature of the damage is such that it cannot readily be fixed. For example, a loose jump ring or hinge can easily be repaired with long nosed pliers.

Customers must:

1. report a damaged item within 2 days from the date of receipt

2. send back the damaged item within 2 days from reporting the damage

Shipping the damaged item back to us and shipping the replacement item will all be at our expense. If there is no suitable replacement for the damaged item, we will grant the customer store credit which can be used towards a future purchase.

Note that rings that do not fit the client is not considered as damaged. Damage due to misuse and reaction to very acidic sweat are not covered by this policy.

 

 

4. Do you accept resellers?

We occasionally accept resellers for our merchandise. Please contact us for more details.

 

 

5. Do you sponsor events and blogs?

We would like to thank individuals and organizations who are interested in offering us blog or event sponsorships. However, we prefer to do our own marketing and so we do not currently entertain offers for blog and event sponsorships.

 

 

6. Does your merchandise tarnish?

The only metals that do not ever tarnish (at least at room temperature) are gold that's at least 14K, platinum and palladium.

We do have items that are resistant to tarnishing such as rhodium-plated jewelry, pewter and jewelry with antiqued gold or silver finish. We also offer brass jewelry. Brass, by nature, darkens over time but it is easily cleaned using a metal polisher and a soft-cloth. Even gold or silver plated jewelry can be polished with a mild jewelry cleaner, taking care to put only a small amount and and to rub it very lightly so as not to rub off the plating.

7. If you use Xend as courier, why do you charge more than the Xend published rates for your shipping?

Our shipping charges also include the cost of packaging. We typically pack orders in sturdy gift boxes to better protect our accessories in transit. In other cases, where boxes are not appropriate, we use a lot of bubble wrap.

 

 

8. What are Paypal fees and Globe G-cash cashout fees?

In order to keep our prices low, we do not factor Gcash cashout fees and Paypal transaction fees into our prices. Historically, the majority of our customers prefer paying through bank deposits.

Globe cashout fees refer to the fees that Globe charge us when we claim Gcash payments. They are typically equivalent to 2% of the payment sent to us.

Paypal fees refer to the transaction fees that Paypal charges us when we receive payment into our Paypal account. This is equivalent to 4.4% of the total due plus Php15 or US $0.30.

 

 

9. Can you do meet-ups?

As we have full-time jobs unrelated to running this site, we can only do meet-ups for customers who purchase more than P3000. Alternatively, you can pick up (and pay) for your items from our home in Pasig. In picking up the items from our offices, we need to agree on a schedule so that we can ensure that we will be there when you arrive at our home.

 

 

10. Are you legit?

Below are some facts about us.

  • We have been in business, so to speak, since 2007. However, since we were primarily selling in Multiply at that time, we didn't get to use Facebook that often in 2007. We did start posting in 2008 and have ramped up our marketing efforts in Facebook in 2012. We have more than 249000 fans in our fanpage and if you browse our facebook timeline, you will see a lot of posts from clients who purchased from us. (viewed on desktop only)
  • We have had more than 6000 successful deliveries as can be seen from our Xend badge below. Actually this number is underdeclared since Xend only started counting deliveries in 2010. We have also attained Platinum level (the highest level) in our Xend trust badge. Also note that we have been a Xend member/user since 2007.
